Prawn Thokku

Seafood is always unbeaten. It has different flavour and richness. Obviously, it is enriched in vitamins and has many health benefits that everybody knows. On the speech of prawn, it has more than the benefits. It could be any dish but Prawn gravy has something beyond the word delicious.The best comforting and melting on mouth dish ever. Preparing time: 15mins Cooking time: 30mins Serving: 3-4

Ingredients:

Prawns – 400Gms
Onion – 3 no’s finely chopped
Tomato – 2 diced
Ginger garlic paste – 2 Tbsp
Chilli powder – 2 Tsp
Coriander powder – 2 Tsp
Turmeric powder – 1 Tsp
Mustard seeds – 1 Tsp
Green chilli – 3 No’s
Curry leaves – 1 sprig
Coriander leaves – 2 sprigs
Salt – as required
Oil – 2 Tbsp

To Marinate:
As the prawn has to be peeled and deveined and washed thoroughly for squeaky clean meat. To save the effort get the De shelled and deveined prawn, wash it and drain the excess water.
Marinate the prawn with salt, pepper powder, ginger garlic paste and turmeric powder.Keep it aside.

Method to cook:
To begin with Heat the kadaai and add the oil, mustard seeds. Once mustard popped, add curry leaves.
Add the Onion, ginger garlic paste and green chilli after the onion turns translucent.
Next, add the tomatoes and cook till the consistency acquired.
Then, add the spices like chilli powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder and salt. Mix the masala well.
Now, add the marinated prawns in the masala mix. Add 2 Tbsp of water. Then, Close the lid.
Cook the prawns until it reach the semi gravy consistency.
Finally garnish with the chopped coriander leaves and serve it with rice.
